The neighborhood in which the project is located is a mixed sector that has developed strongly thanks, in particular, to the optimization of public transport and the arrival of the streetcar on the Route de Chancy.

The Chancy 59 site, which is currently very closed, poorly accessible and highly mineralized, no longer meets the requirements of soft mobility, permeability and public urban spaces. CCHE was commissioned to requalify and redefine these outdoor spaces in order to provide an urban response in line with the wider perimeter and the development of the district.

The development strategy is to propose permeability to the site, thus offering it new public spaces, new shops and activities as well as facilitating soft mobility. In addition, the project anticipates the developing localized neighborhood plan adjacent to the plot in order to link its future mobility routes and create a continuity of the various pedestrian and bicycle paths to the tramway.
