Construction of the beach restaurant and fishing hut in Perroy
Inspired by the lake in its outward expression, the programme develops lengthwise on a single floor, echoing the lake's horizon.
The future beach building will house the restaurant and its self-service area, the fishing hut and the various services annexed to the beach. It will welcome visitors throughout the year, in a subtle architecture combining a lake spirit and wine-growing inspiration.
The project is inspired by the famous Venoge, Perroy's emblem, which are the Lake Geneva boats and their elegant Latin sails from the beginning of the 20th century. Like a dynamic-looking veil, the graceful light roof unfolds in facets, uniting the different functions of the building. Beneath this airy structure, the two volumes assert themselves in a mineral and woody expression with contrasting dark tones such as the hulls of the ships evoked.
In the restaurant, the atmosphere will be friendly and warm. Guests will be able to taste the fish from the lake, coming directly from the fishing hut, and will be able to savour the communal vintage. The spacious and dynamic space will also evoke the art of wine-making, another emblem of the commune. The kitchen will be open to the restaurant hall, magnifying the whole process of transformation of local food right up to the plate. The project highlights the beauty of the site: the dining room extends outwards to a vast terrace in tiers, animated by a decomposition of curtains.
Much more than a simple building, the project restructures and requalifies the whole site and offers the beach of Perroy a new future.
