REVA - Romande Energie

Noville

The "REVA" building was developed to bring together part of the operating sites of Romande Energie SA previously located in Vevey, Aigle, Fenil and Taulen, in order to optimise the use of space and the corresponding costs. The new operating centre is located at the Les Fourches site (municipality of Noville).

The building, designed as a three-branch star, accommodates more than 170 employees divided into three sectors corresponding to their professional activities: sedentary, semi-nomadic and nomadic.

The star-shaped building ensures a perfect coherence between the different development areas. This geometry was favoured for its economic and flexible aspect.

Each wing accommodates a "work unit" that can be set up according to the company's needs, and makes it possible to modulate the open-space areas while providing conference rooms and an archive area.

A central vertical circulation is sufficient to distribute the entire project. In each branch, an emergency staircase can be used as secondary circulation. Each wing accommodates a "work unit".

The vertical distribution of the individual work groups is done according to the purpose of the individual users. The sedentary ones are on the high level, while the nomadic and semi-nomadic ones are on the low level in direct connection with the depots and workshops.

The cafeteria as well as the large conference room are located on the top floor of the project. These two programs are separated by sliding elements so that a unique space can be created for events.

The workshops are located to the north of the administration building and are laid out in a ring, with the depot areas in the centre. This central position allows the depots to benefit from the heat losses emanating from the various premises and keeps this area frost-free.

The integration of this new building is associated with an architectural concept that takes into account both the identity of the site and the image it will convey in the future.

In addition, the emphasis was placed on short, medium and long-term economic solutions covering energy, structural, construction and maintenance aspects. These were requested by the client in order to ensure that this project fully corresponds to the company's values.
