Located in the heart of St-Ursanne, the La Cigogne hotel has come back to life. It is aimed at customers looking for peace and relaxation in a confidential, luxury environment.
The project concept draws its inspiration from the cloister opposite, whose elegance and noble sobriety provide an environment conducive to regeneration.
The hotel has regained its unity with clear spatial organisation, encourgaing discovery with a pathway punctuated by arches carved into imposing walls.
The Reception, the heart of the hotel on a human scale, encourages exchanges between staff and guests around a table rather than at a formal desk.
Le Cellier, the breakfast area, is based on the codes of the refectory, where residents leave their private areas to gather around a meal in a convivial atmosphere.
The Âtres du soir, luxury bedrooms, are accessed through vaulted ceilings. They offer harmonious volumes clad in natural materials in calming tones.
The secret garden, introverted and surrounded by a covered gallery, is home to a Rituel Spa comprising a sauna, cold water bath, hot pool and relaxation area.
The transformation of this historic building will also bring it up to date with today's standards, notably by replacing an oil-fired boiler with a connection to district heating, significantly improving its ecological footprint, as well as completely insulating the building and fitting new windows. Most of the new materials are natural and locally-sourced.
