The Omestay residence occupies the central emergence of the multifunctional "Les Atmosphères" complex, the centerpiece of Geneva’s Quartier de l'Etang. Organised around a central patio, it offers its occupants a range of fully equipped, furnished studios, as well as shared rooms.
The studios are designed to be functional. The kitchen, wardrobe, shelving, and shower room are functionally integrated into the first half of the apartment. Everything has been carefully designed with quality joinery and meticulous detailing: integrated lights, invisible sliding doors, invisible magnetic walls.
The second half of the studio, on the front side, is more open plan in style, allowing each occupant to arrange their furniture as they wish.
In the shared apartments, the functional aspect is found around the bed unit, which also incorporates shelves, a cupboard, a seat, and drawers.
In the corridors, reminders of the original facades mark the entrance doors. A corrugated sheet metal frame, in subtle colour shades, personalises and identifies each door which is complemented by refined signage.
A vast communal lobby ensures cohesion between residents, while, at the same time, offering a range of services: play areas, work rooms, a communal kitchen, interactive laundry, etc.
