2nd prize in the "Children's Hospital" competition in Geneva

29.09.2022 · News

CCHE Geneva was associated with the French architects Carta - Reichen et Robert to develop a proposal for the competition to design the future Children's Hospital in Geneva. The project, which was selected in the shortlist and awarded second prize by the jury, aimed to review the organisation of the current paediatric ward and to increase the capacity of the Geneva paediatric site with the construction of new buildings for hospitalisation and outpatient care.

The project proposes generously dimensioned reception, waiting and circulation areas, with plenty of light and favouring relations with the outside spaces, particularly the park created and the interior patios. The architecture is designed to inspire confidence and reassure the children and their carers by offering them dedicated living spaces. The project is fluidly connected to the services of the existing building.

Type of mandate: Open architectural competition at 2 levels with pre-selection for the architectural project of the Geneva Children's Hospital.
